The current Daniel Challenge year is now well underway with Chris, Rachel, Lauren, Eddie, Becca and Joel
In the meanwhile... Here is what we have been up to..
So far the current Daniel Challenge interns have done all kinds of exciting things ranging from working with one of the UK's most successful Kids Clubs, building in various local communities, putting on lots of evangelistic events, organising prayer and teaching events for local churches plus they've been learning lots from Salt & Light's best preachers, teachers and prophets. They also get to plug into net teams from around the country in joint meetings. John Wimber who founded the Vineyard churches relates how he readabout the life and miracles of Jesus as a new believer. He then famously asked his first church pastor, "When do we do the stuff?" The reply was that we don't really do the stuff.
The Daniel Challenge is planned to be mission and ministry lead where the interns are trained and given every opportunity to have a go and 'do the stuff.'
We are aiming to create an atmosphere of the nearness and the presence of Christ; of knowing him and making him known. At the same time we also want to create a sense of adventure, faith, excitement and moving in the supernatural. Teamwork and relationships will be very important and constantly encouraged.
